Compliance Overview

Mirage is designed to support privacy while keeping user responsibility clear. Each user remains responsible for their own funds and activity.

When a user deploys an escrow, Mirage runs a wallet screening check through a third-party compliance partner. This check requires only the user wallet address. If the check succeeds, Mirage API issues a compliance certificate and attaches it as encrypted metadata to the user signal.

Mirage routes orderflow only to nodes that have completed Mirage screening requirements. Nodes that do not complete screening do not receive Mirage orderflow. Screened nodes may choose to process only transactions that include a valid compliance certificate.

Mirage does not hold custody of user funds. Mirage also cannot guarantee how exchanges, custodians, or wallets classify activity, because those providers apply their own independent policies.
